Nissan’s industry-first initiative helps parents find the proper Child Restraint System (CRS)
As any parent who has browsed the children’s car seat aisle knows, there are a multitude of Child Restraint System (CRS) options to choose from. Courtesy Nissan Hyundai is proud that Nissan introduced the industry’s first initiative to help parents understand their CRS options. Snug Kids®, started in 2002, offers comprehensive resources to help parents “select a CRS that fits their vehicle, and provides valuable tips on the proper installation, fit, and use,” according to the initiative’s website.
To compile the data, Nissan safety engineers tested hundreds of child restraints in all of the brand’s vehicles, in all proper modes of use. The results are available at http://www.nissanusa.com/snugkids/. Furthermore, Nissan announced in 2011 that it would be participating in the Vehicle-CRS Fit Program proposed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
At Courtesy Nissan Hyundai, we hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity to find the right CRS for you and your child. If you have more questions, stop by to speak with one of our associates, who are committed to helping you get the most out of your vehicle.
